We met Charlotte back in 2015 with one of my first guinea pigs and we knew instantly that this was a vet who knew and understood exotics, uses a holistic approach, and could provide an empathetic bedside manner that soothed both patient and human guardian.

When Charlotte opened Skylark Vets it was a no-brainer that we would continue to put our trust into the new practice even if it wasn’t exactly local to us.

One of the things we really admire about the Skylark set-up is the continuity in the care provided and willingness to work with the client. Everyone, no matter their role, makes it their concern to know and understand each patient. Over the years, the wonderful Skylark team has supported the complex health care needs of many of our rescue guinea pigs and our two dogs, in the static and mobile clinics. Having access to the mobile clinic, I believe, has played a huge part in a quicker recovery process as the patients are generally less stressed going from their bed straight out to the van. I’m not sure there is much that cannot be done in the van!

Whilst Charlotte and the team have looked after many of our furry family members, there is one little guinea pig who became quite the regular over a period of about 3 years. Marvellous Miss Moo was not blessed with the greatest luck when it came to her health but she was fortunate enough to have the ongoing support (clinical and emotional!) from the team at Skylark. We cannot thank Skylark enough for giving Miss Moo, the pig with nine lives, every chance possible.
